Community access on the South Coast

Get out, stay connected, do the things you love

Appointments, the shops, the bank, a drive, a coffee somewhere with a view. The ordinary week, done properly, with a worker who knows the roads from Nowra to Batemans Bay.

Two people talking and laughing over coffee at an outdoor cafe table on the South Coast.

What it covers

Real support. Real outcomes.
  • Appointments

Getting there, being there, and the follow-up afterwards so nothing said in the room gets lost.

  • Shopping and errands

The shops, the bank, the post office, the chemist. Built into the week rather than squeezed around it.

  • Social outings

The beach, a cafe, the footy, church, a friend's place. Whatever connection looks like for you.

  • Transport

Safe, reliable transport to appointments and activities, built into the shift rather than left for you to arrange.

  • Building confidence

Catching the bus, making the appointment yourself next time, doing more of it independently at whatever pace suits.

  • Hospital runs

Nowra, and Wollongong when that is where the appointment is. The shift runs as long as the appointment does.

Who it’s for

How it gets funded
  • NDIS

Community participation and transport under core supports, and capacity building where the plan funds it. Registered provider.

  • Support at Home

Social support and transport for older people under the Support at Home program, so the week still has somewhere to go.

  • DVA and private

Veterans and their partners, and anyone paying privately who wants company and a lift to get out.

What a week looks like

A familiar face, planned a month ahead
  • A standing outing each week, planned a month ahead, with a familiar face.
  • The appointment in Nowra with the drive, the wait and the questions asked on your behalf.
  • A coffee at Mollymook because it is Thursday and Thursday is the hard day.

Straight answers
What areas do you cover for community access?+

The whole Shoalhaven and south to Batemans Bay. Ulladulla, Milton, Mollymook, Narrawallee, Burrill Lake, Sussex Inlet, Jervis Bay and Nowra. Inland when that is where somebody is.

Is transport included?+

Yes. Transport to and from activities and appointments is part of the support. Anything that would be claimed under a plan is agreed with you before the first shift.

Can you take someone with behaviours of concern out into the community?+

That is most of our current work. Send the referral through with the hard parts included and we will tell you straight whether it is a fit.

Not sure if it's a fit?

Ring and describe what's going on. We'll tell you on the call whether we can help, and if we can't we'll usually know who can.
